ESL Director

Jeanne teaches the RISE Intermediate ESL class and has two MAs, one in Social Ethics from Pacific School of Religion and another in TESL from SFSU, as well as  a Certificate in ESL from Notre Dame de Namur. She worked at Cañada College for 22 years as an English/ESL instructor, tutor coordinator, and dean. As a dean, she wrote and administered several grants. As a faculty member, she taught all skill areas of ESL. She also taught an English course for Medical Assistants, chaired the campus Diversity Committee and led a Faculty Inquiry Network project concerning Math and ESL. She worked in learning communities in which ESL courses were linked with content courses in Math, Career and Library Research.
